Low fat foods may have high sugar content that can leave you feeling hungry. All of the sugar that replaces the fat can cause your blood sugar to rise and then crash. The best way to know the nutrient content of food is to look at the back of the package and see what the content is. Make sure that you are reading the serving amount carefully. Many companies give the calories but fail to note that this amount contains four servings instead of one.

There are many one hundred calorie packs showing up on the market. While this sounds enticing, these items are often make out of sugar and refined flour, things that will only make you hungrier when you eat them. It is better to have fruit that has the same amount of calories. Fruit will let fill you up and also help to keep you full. Diet foods made of refined flour, fats and sugar are not only bad for you they can cause you to gain weight.
